Blepharoplasty

Blehoraplasty

Wrinkles around the eyes occur when the skin loses elasticity. Loss of elasticity is usually an indicator of aging. However, there are also causes of loss of elasticity other than aging. Excessive use of facial expressions is one of the most common causes of wrinkles.

Eyes are one of the areas that show the signs of aging most intensely. Under-eye bags, wrinkles, sunken eyes, dark circles and many other factors make the person look more tired and older than they really are.

Eye contour rejuvenation applications are performed for a younger and more dynamic appearance. Botox offers an excellent solution to prevent wrinkles around the eyes if possible or to correct wrinkles that have already formed. Another option is blephoraplasty.

Blephoraplasty can be defined as eyelid aesthetics. Blephoraplasty is a surgical procedure to remove sagging, bagging and wrinkles around the eyes. Aging, genetic factors and environmental factors can affect the eye area and this can cause eyelid sagging, bagging and wrinkles over time.

Blephoraplasty improves the appearance around the eyes by removing or reshaping excess skin and fat tissue. This procedure, performed by Grand Clinic with a professional team, is usually performed under local anesthesia. Blephoraplasty prices vary between 2000 and 35000 Euros. It is also required to be in Turkey for 6 nights and 7 days.

Factors Causing Wrinkles

Crow’s feet wrinkles are a result of our personal habits as well as environmental factors. Therefore, it is important to consider the following points to reduce the formation of these wrinkles: The eye area has a thinner and more delicate structure than other areas. Environmental factors such as sun rays, wind and air pollution negatively affect this area and cause wrinkles.

  • Gestures such as squinting and frowning, especially when overused, cause crow’s feet wrinkles to become more pronounced.
  • Leaving makeup on the face for too long or not removing it before going to sleep can lead to rapid aging of the skin and deformation of the eyes and eye contour.
  • Excessive consumption of sugary drinks and foods damages the elastin and collagen fibers in the skin, leading to wrinkles. Therefore, it is important to eat a healthy diet.
  • Insufficient water consumption can cause the skin’s fluid needs to be unmet and therefore dry and wrinkle formation.
  • Smoking addiction can cause the skin to wrinkle over time, as it has a negative effect on the elastin fibers that provide skin elasticity and quality.
  • Sleeping on your face can cause wrinkles on the face and around the eyes. Therefore, it may be healthier to sleep on your back.

Our genetic makeup is also an important factor that shows the effects of aging on our skin. However, we can reduce the formation of crow’s feet wrinkles by regularly controlling our habits above.

Eyelid Aesthetic Recovery Process

Eyelid aesthetic healing process is not long. Eyelid aesthetic operation is performed under local anesthesia. However, some patients may experience discomfort due to surgery. Therefore, general anesthesia may also be preferred.

The operation is completed in approximately 1 hour. In the patient’s sitting position, the amount of skin and muscle to be removed during the operation is determined. In some patients, it may be necessary to remove some fat tissue. This area, which is previously determined by drawing, is removed by applying an incision during surgery. Then, the eyelids are given the appearance they should have with suture application. Since there is anesthetic effect during the operation, the patient will not feel any pain or ache.

A band is applied to the eyelids immediately after the operation. However, these bands are such that they do not prevent you from seeing. Cold compresses may be required to reduce edema and bruising.

It is quite normal for swelling and bruising to increase for 2 days after surgery. At the end of this period, bruises and swelling will decrease and disappear rapidly. Finally, after the surgery, movements that require effort such as coughing, sneezing or heavy lifting should be avoided.
